Arty day
On Tuesday, had a great experiences about Art buisinesses and Architechure. Generally, I am in love with all kind of Art. Petra Bachmaier welcome us in the Columbia’s gallery were she exposed some of her work. She had an impressive personality because she spoke quietly and she looks shy but as she talk we discover the famous artist and the great business woman. She told us she doesn’t need to advertise, this is people who come to her. I love her work on the light because it’s funny, beautiful and pure in the same time.
Later, we ate at Toni’s patisserie and to the Chicago’s Cultural center were we discover a classic architectural things of this city : ceilings. They are always ornate by stone and mosaique. I was impress by the stained glass Tiffany’s dome. The biggest she create. In the cultural center, I enjoy Archibald Motley ‘s exhibition. The chicagoan had painted colorfull array of the 20’s and 30’s honorring the non-white culture.
To conclude with a business touch, it was a pleasure to met DC Crenshaw and Mary Vallender. DC Crenshaw is the investigator of Fete and other business like 312 spirits. I learned from him to keep contact with people you met. For example send an email to say « it was nice meeting you ». Mary is a real estate broker in @properties. She share with us an emotional professional courses. She advice to never give up as woman in business even if it is an hard and long work.
Tuesday was an exiting day with many activities and new accknowlegdment.

ReplyDeleteI loved the way that Petra Bachmaier talked about her art. She is very passionated. Moreover, when we were at the Cultural Center, the meet with D.C was very useful about how to network. Do you remember that we talked with him ? He is a very nice person, isn't he ? It was very cool to talk with him.
And what a fabulous end for that day with the beautiful view of the apartment that we visited.

Romain, of course I remember when we talk to DC. Such a nice person ! I remember that he wants to speak with us about Fench culture. Him and his wife enjoy to go to Paris sometimes for business shopping eating and great restaurant !
I think it was my favorite day, and also the more tiresome because we did a lot !
