Tuesday March 24th

For me this day was the best of the week, because art and architecture are my two passions.

On one hand, during the morning we visited an art gallery at the Columbia collège. We met Petra Bachmaier who in 2007 they formed Luftwerk creating a unified artistic vision that merges visual elements of light and projected video with sculptural facets of architecture and design. Moreover, she has us distribuate and makes discover a masterpiece which was set in front of the Cloud Gate. The picture of the cloud gate was extaordinary because photos were taken under different angle and with different effects i twas really beautiful. I love meeting like Petra Bachmeier because we can see what showed the artist.

On the other hand, the lunch it was wonderful because Toni Patisserie it reminded me France (sandwiches, Small table, chair ...)

After the lunch, we went to the Chicago cultural Center to see the beautiful architecture inside the room. Furthermore if we observed well Furthermore if we observed many buddies French as Molière or Victor Hugo was engraved in the mosaic. Moreover A sentence which for me is important was marked in 14 languages (English, french, Latin, Hebreu, Grec, Egyptian, Arabic ...) « Les mortels sont égaux, ce n’est pas la naissance c’est la seule vertu qui fait la différence » translate in English « Mortals are equal, it is not birth but only virtue that makes the différence » Voltaire
The sentences were registered in a room, and this So the room itself was designed as a library within a library, where anyone in the world could read and be inspired.

In the same place we met one of our guestspeaker D.C Crenshaw who tell us his background and his profesional route this men is a very great storyteller, we had the impression to be there.

For the last excursion of the day we was on the 52th floor of a building in a amazing apartment. the real estate agent who accompanied told us that tis building is the best place to live in Chicago because he view in one of the best. Moreover, for buy or rent an apartment she told us that now the real state agent check increasingly the life of the buyer like their jobs, their bank account...). I have to find it very interesting.

To conclued, this day was amazing for me because this day gathered all that I love.

  1. Pierre, nice descriptions and photos!

Remember to address the questions in the assignment, such as how our guest speakers build relationships to grow their businesses. This way, you'll connect with the larger themes of the course such as networking.

Also, you can boost the aesthetic and dynamic qualities of your posts by incorporating your photos and links directly into the body of the article as in our sample posts, instead of grouping them all at the end.

I'm glad you enjoyed and highlighted elements such as the Voltaire quote; the Cultural Center includes different famous quotes in different languages - very inspiring indeed.

Good job sharing your enthusiasm for the business of art and architecture!

  2. Hi Pierre,
I am glad you enjoy this day as me. I don’t know much about art and architecture but I liked this day because it allows me to learn more about this topics. The work of Petra was on the same time simple and incredible and I agree with you what she has done at the millennium park was magical.
Chicago is a fantastic city for people who love or discover architecture. There are so many buildings and expositions to see. The cultural center was my favorite part of the day. The place was beautiful, all the details and ceilings were incredible. I know you love this entire day but what was your favorite part ?
