 In our whole food market trip we had the opportunity to speak with a manager of this store. He explain to us what was the main challenge of the food supply. As a business student who want to specialized in supply chain management I was very surprised that the business of the logistic of the food supply have huge problem. 




The first thing you have to know is the difficulty to know if the food is really sustainable or organic, that why all the product are register by label. Organic or not. More of that the food is very fragile so have to be very careful about the temperature, if the object need to be hydrated in a regular time, or if the fruit is very

I first ask if a business like that is rentable for the company but I think I learn that The organic food is in a big pic of consummation first the organic is more and more popular because of the proliferation of report on this subject more of that the US government make a lot of thing to promote the organic and sustainable food, There

But my favorite part was when we was at the table. More seriously I really enjoy the food because it was very impressive to look for a way to make business. In France the shops are not as big and the food is separate from the vending area because a lot of norms limit the opportunity of business.

    I like the way you explain us on your article the challenge about of the food supply and what the solutions to solve the issues are by giving us information and a schema. I agree with you, organic food become more popular thanks the TV or news and people realize the importance of eating healthy food. But don’t you think, even if the US government tries to support and promote this kind of food, people will change their habits if the price of organic product is more expensive than a “normal” grocery store ?

      How are you?

      You know the world is more and more polluted do you prefer to pay more are to eat GMO?
      In addition we are not sure that the GMO is safe for the human body because we need a lot of time to be sure so yeah if the price go to high it will not be so extend in the population

  2. I agree with you Maxime, eating the food from Whole Foods was one of my favorite part of the day. We should have more things like that in France.
    Vanessa I don't think that American people have the same vision as French people. Here people are ready to put a lot of money in good food like organic food.
    In France we don't have GMO in our food so we are not ready to do the same thing.
