Food Day, by Arthur Bergeret

Food day

We started this journey by a visit of whole foods with the manager.

Whole foods is more a supermarket like in France. You can find some organic products, some fresh products. They use water wing to refresh vegetables and fruits.

They select their partnership with farmers and brands to keep a high quality. They follow a really strict chart about their fresh product for example meet and fish. Their suppliers have to follow a certain etic about animal treatment. They stopped to sell fish about intensive agriculture.

That is the same thing about GMO; they only sell products without GMO.

Then we asked some sellers about the place of products. About the wine: first wine is put by country, and the question was if brands pay whole foods to be at the place that they are. So if they pay to be on the top or medium in the shelf. Two of them answered no but I think they didn’t know because the place you are in a supermarket has an impact in your sales. If you are more visible for the customers your sales will be increase.

After the visit we lunched at whole foods, they have really good corners of different kind of food.

Before lunch we had a nice guest speaker. He told us about fitness. Fitness is not only sport, it is about food. If you want to be healthy you have to eat healthy food, take care about the way you eat.

That was nice to speak about food because in France it is really important to eat healthy and good food. I think it is our culture, when you speak about France you cannot forget to speak about French food. It is also my passion with art; food is a kind of art in France. That is my point of view, food must be good taste and healthy way of living. Eat has to be a good moment and you have to feel emotions.
