Monday morning we went to The Hancock center to meet Christopher Rondeau who is a associate sales manager for company called Montparnasse 56. Is actually a French company who dealing with the skyscrapers and they own the observations desks on the top.

Mister Rondeau talk us about his background. And also about why important the networking is for you carrier. He gave us an amazing advices about how should you acting with the opportunity and that you should be very decided about the goal that you really want to reach in your life. I had also learned from him, that you should try at maximum to be dressed professionally, because you never know who you will meet.

When we went to the Top of the Hancock Center we had an opportunity to see an amazing view! This view was really magnificent! From one side we can see Chicago’s skyscrapers, I found this view really similar to view from the Empire state building in NY actually. But from another side you can see a beautiful Michigan Lake! The color of the water was so amazing and the weather was so nice. I would like to come back there when it will be raining to see who it is there from the top J

After that we went to the Google office in Chicago. It is definitely the best office I have ever see! Google try to create a best atmosphere for their employees to work, they try to make them the better person they was yesterday. They have everything you can dream about inside the office: massages, restaurants, snacks, bars, music room, etc.

One day of the week, while your work hours, Google give you a permission to something else but not your job. In my opinion, it is a great opportunity to the employees to start to do a volunteering for something they have a really passion for. Google support and encourage the volunteerism in all forms.

Google helps all the employees to be well integrated in the working society. When you first arrive for working in Google, you will have a mentor who will help you with everything in your work. It is not the same thing to be a mentor for the small business, but nonetheless it is hard and beneficial in the same time. When you mentoring someone, you often became close with this person, and you never know how this person can help you ones she will growth her business and her proper networking.

After that, we met an amazing Gigi , how talks about the mains differences about French and American way of internships, jobs, resume, volunteering and networking. Her TED talk was really useful for us, and because of her, now I know how to act with the business cards and professional’s contacts and I’m very grateful to her for it.

In the end of this fabulous fay we had a wonderful surprise. And as usual it was extremely delicious! We had taste the macarons from the Cilliance shop! Thanks a lot for our thoughtful professor Valery Beck!
